Kicking Leaves

Kicking Leaves

You’ve already seen all the pictures I have of these socks, but if you want to see them in one place, or if by any chance you’d like to get your hands on a copy of this pattern, please visit my pattern shop.

  • Pattern: Kicking Leaves, of my own devising.
  • Model: Crystal Palace Panda Silk, in Nutmeg Tones. Panda Silk is a luscious blend of bamboo, merino wool, and silk. It’s dreamy soft, and has a nice hand. I’m looking forward to many hours of foot comfort in these socks.
  • Needles: Size 0 DPNs.
  • Elapsed time: October 17 to November 7, 2008.
  • Skills: Lace knitting, SSK, purl tbl, double YO, twisted stitch.
  • Notes: The stitch pattern was easy to memorize, so the socks knit up in nothing flat. Huge thanks to Jocelyn for test knitting this pattern, and to Kristie for proofreading it.

They’re gorgeous! And thank *you* for letting me have fun with this pattern :) I posted a picture of the sock on an actual leg just this very minute; she’s dying for me to get the second one done so she can wear the pair!

Thanks for letting us help name the sock. It’s a thrill and honor to see my suggestion in a printed knitting pattern. Thanks , again!
