The latest sock name poll ended around noon my time the day before Christmas. As of that moment, we had a clear winner, a sock name that grows on me more every time I see it: Gschnitztal. It’s a lovely, unpronounceable (by most here in the States) name, and I like it.

As you can see, I finished up the first sock yesterday. I have a good start on the second one, too. I’ve progressed passed the ribbing, and started on the stitch pattern. Yea. The finished pair might end up being a little thick to wear with shoes, but I can always use another pair of nice, warm house socks. I love working with this Shibui yarn. It’s lovely!

I hope you all had a safe and joyous Christmas yesterday. Ours was quiet, as usual, just being the two of us, but it was nice.
