I am home January 20, 2009
The good news is that I’m home. I’m not home for three days—or worse, ten minutes. I’m home until late February. It’s so nice to be here again.
The bad news is that I am still accessing the Internet through Dave’s computer. My own probably works just fine, but the UPS that it plugs into is dead. I spent a bunch of time on the phone this morning with APC, and they’ll be sending me a whole new UPS unit. The only problem with that is the delay… I won’t get it for three to five business days. In the meantime, I hope to be able to borrow a surge suppressor from our next door neighbor, as ours are all being used for other things. Once I can do that, I’ll be able to get my machine up again, get into my email, all that stuff. Until then, the machine is off, I can’t get to email, I can’t do the paperwork that’s been piling up, I can’t chart out the new lace design that’s rattling around in my head… Ack!
Yes, Mexico was divine. And TNNA was fabulous. And I’m so glad to be home.
