It’s blocking March 18, 2009
The dress is done. Border knit on, seam grafted, neckline and sleeves finished, ends woven in. And pre-blocking photos. I really need to get a little slip-on or zip up cover made for Nicole.
The sheet adds ugly thickness to lacy little things, but you can get the idea anyway. Since none of these pictures are headed for the cover of a magazine anyway, they’ll do.
There’s even this one picture of it all pinned out on the bed. I hope I didn’t stretch it too far in the width, not enough in the length. I know it’ll relax a bit once the blocking wires are out. We’ll just have to wait and see how it fits Stephanie once its dry…
- Pattern: my own devising
- Yarn: Rowan Kidsilk Haze, in Cocoa; a few yards more than 2 balls

This short, pathetic little post is all you get today. Have too many other things on my plate. Sorry about that.

I love that Canterbury Bells lace repeat — it looks really cute in dress form!

Wow! Very pretty. I can’t believe it’s only about (2) balls of kidsilk haze - I’m pretty sure I used more than that for a triangular shawl.

A dress? How ambitious and so delicately lovely!
You’ve been busy: socks, shawls, reconnecting with friends (the afghan is unbelievable!) - and almost all your own designs. You continue to amaze.
