Domus Aurea

Done. Blocked. Photographed. Pattern released. All done. And I love it. I love it more now than I did when I was knitting it. I got bogged down in the middle (low threshold for boredom, very, very low), but once I got past that part there was no stopping me. Just look at it on the black dress. Elegant.

Here are the stats:

  • Pattern: Domus Aurea, of my own devising.
  • Yarn: Claudia Handpainted Yarns, Silk Lace, 1 hank in Honey.
  • Needles: Size 4 (3.75 mm).
  • Finished size: 20 x 75 inches
  • Elapsed time: April 9, 2009 to May 26, 2009.
  • Skills: Lace knitting, nupps.
  • Notes: Except for purling together the occasional nupp stitches, the wrong side rows are simply purled—well, except the first and last two stitches of each row, which are knit—so the knitting is fairly simple.

And here are some more pictures. There are quite a few more pictures over in my pattern shop.
